Warming up before working on a freelance gig and thought I'd do a quick turnaround for that truck I did a mood pic of. I might revisit to do other color options and rework the suspension system which isn't entirely working for me. My friend Jeff dubbed it the XT-4 Expulsion and it works well for the backstory.
The backstory being this is a dystopian future where totalitarian corporations own everything but are actually pretty terrible at what they do so their empires are crumbling and they've resorted to violence to keep people in line. They've repurposed these cargo-haulers as mobile bases and weapons platforms to try and regain control from resistance forces in this megacity.
Corporate heads strategized that seeing these former symbols of thriving industry would frighten the resistance forces into submission through psychological warfare, and it largely works. When resistance fighters, the very people who used to drive these things in better times, see these monolithic silhouettes crawl over the horizon, they shake where they stand.
Monolithic is really the only word to describe them properly, as each is easily over a hundred feet tall, sitting on four 72 foot tall tires powered by twin diesel powerplants as large as a small house. They used to serve as homes-away-from-home for dockworkers and long-haul drivers, and now serve as APC's and command centers.
