In The Force Awakens there is a sequence where Finn and Rey run toward a Quadjumper Tug, intent on using it to escape some pursuing TIE fighters, only to have it explode. This is what I imagined happened in the alternate take where the Quadjumper is NOT destroyed. I had to add a top turret to give them a means of retaliation- but other than that I stuck close to the source designs without compromising the energy of the original sketch.
